As an in-basin frac sand mining company, Black Mountain Sand is all about putting down roots within the communities where we work. Our goals are to be good neighbors and give back to the community by helping deliver not only economic opportunities but outreach support for local causes.
Our Commitment To You
Black Mountain Sand’s dedication to Corporate Social Responsibility
Construction and operation of each frac sand facility faces many challenges. Black Mountain’s solutions are driven by our dedication to being good neighbors.
ROAD SAFETY

INSIDE FRAC SAND
A social media campaign and blog series created by Black Mountain Sand. The idea came from talking with members of our communities that were anxious and/or misinformed about our industry. To help educate and bring comfort, we created this campaign to offer explanations and opportunities to ask questions. We are highly active on social media and offer not only jobs and community service, but also support and encouragement of two-way conversations. This series served as a platform to start the conversations around frac sand mining. Read More…
ADVISORY COUNCILS
Black Mountain is committed to providing the community clarity and transparency. Advisory Councils have been created composed of local leaders and residents to bridge the gap of information and better educate the community on our operations. This serves as a platform to address community grievances. The council meetings meet quarterly or as community issues arise.
CHARITABLE GIVING AND PARTICIPATION
Because our local employees know best how to make a positive impact within their community, we put events and charitable giving in their hands. Sometimes we give large donations to national charities, and other times it is as simple as reading books to a local elementary class. Each Black Mountain location participates and gives in different ways but makes an equal impact across all of our communities.

At our company, we view net worth as a sum of all factors involved, not just the product we sell or the profit we make. Our net worth heavily relies on the relationships and roots we build in our communities to make them stronger.
We consider ourselves blessed to have the opportunity to give back in ways that can teach and empower our communities to pay it forward.
