The above chart depicts Permian Basin crude oil production by year in barrels per day from 2012 through 2017.

The Permian Basin has continued into 2018 with increases in production. In January of 2018, crude production averaged 2,846,510 barrels per day. February’s production was 2,918,803 barrels per day and March’s production was 2,994,006 bpd.

In April of 2018, the Permian’s crude production topped 3 million barrels per day, reaching approximately 3,110,000 barrels per day. May saw an all-time-high in crude oil production in the Permian Basin at approximately 3,183,000 barrels per day.
